In the fall I had the pleasure of shooting a Cape Cod wedding with Merrisa Caroline. It was a beautiful celebration in the backyard of the bride’s family home along the coast in Wellfleet. I love intimate celebrations in meaningful spaces; they’re among my favorites to shoot. The beautiful green and romantic details made it even more special – you can’t go wrong with the outdoors, wine bottles, candles, and books. Thank you again Merrisa for having me along!
OPEN POSTI loved so much about this gorgeous New Hampshire wedding that took place at the bride’s family home in the summer. The ceremony was tucked away in the woods, with the most unique chuppah that I’ve seen yet. The bride wore a beautiful, pale lavender dress and she was absolutely glowing. Guests enjoyed cocktails after the ceremony at the family’s private art gallery (!!!) before heading to the tented reception beside the pond. Many thanks to Beck of First Mate Photo for having me along as the second shooter!
OPEN POSTIt was fun to walk around the Arnold Arboretum with Winnie and Francis for their engagement session – it was their first time there, and I loved that they picked a new place to hang out and wander for these photos. We lucked out with such a pretty day, and I lucked out with such a sweet couple who can’t stop smiling and laughing when they’re together. So excited for their upcoming wedding this spring!
OPEN POSTLee Tae and Tyler were married at the Montague Retreat Center in western Mass, and it ended up being one of my very favorite weddings. Lee Tae told me that the theme of their wedding would be “community” and they really took it to heart in different aspects of the day. This meant that their vendors and sources were local to the area; floral arrangements including bouquets, crowns, and boutonnieres were put together by friends; the candles and doilies which made up the centerpieces were from LeeTae’s grandmother’s collection; the ceremony was officiated by two good friends of theirs; they had all guests parade together from the ceremony hill down to cocktail hour; and they made sure that their other vendors and I had a seat at a table with a group of their friends during the dinner (sweetest thing ever). Most of all I saw their community truly come together during their reception in the barn space. They had a fantastic contra band – Elixir – which encouraged all their friends and family to gather on the dance floor. I could truly feel their community coming together, as people were pairing off and dancing in groups all throughout the night. It was so much fun to witness and such a wonderful reminder of why I love my job. Thank you again for having me, Lee Tae and Tyler!

OPEN POSTToday I’m sharing this sweet little Cambridge ceremony at City Hall. I love doing these tiny weddings because they’re so intimate and fun – something about declaring their commitment to each other in front of just their parents, siblings, and a couple close friends makes couples extra giddy amidst the magnitude of it all. It also feels like a little secret that only they know about until they announce it to the rest of the world afterwords. I’m so honored that Anna and Stephen asked me to document this for them. So much love!
