Eric proposed to Ling on the first day of Spring at Corey Hill Park in Brookline. He surprised her with a scavenger hunt, and the last clue led her to the park where he was waiting for her. I don’t think you need to hear or know what Eric is saying to understand how Ling was feeling–you can tell just from the genuine expressions on her face. It was so much fun to capture this sweet, unforgettable moment for them!
Afterward, I did a brief session with them before letting them go off on their marry..er, merry!..way and enjoy the rest of the day together. :) These are some of my favorites from the session!
OPEN POSTEver since I redesigned my blog and my logo, I’ve been itching to get new business cards printed. I recently had these designed and printed by Sarah of Parrott Design Studio and to say that I LOVE them is an understatement! Sarah specializes in letterpress, and I love that the design is fairly simple yet the impressions add a subtle texture to them, making them feel so elegant in your hands. To know that each card was hand-fed into the printer three times (once for each color) really makes them all the more special to me. Now that I’ve gone letterpress I don’t know if I can go back to regular printing! I’m officially spoiled.
If you’re ever looking for some letterpress stationery, invitations, or any type of paper goods, contact Sarah! She really takes care to work with you until your design is just the way you want it, and she’s a super sweet person to boot!
OPEN POSTLast month I had the pleasure of second shooting Anny and Anthony’s wedding for Li Ward of Fat Orange Cat Studio. I hadn’t second shot a wedding in over a year, so it was a treat to do so again, this time alongside a talented friend! Here are my favorites from the day, including images of the ceremony at St. Stephen’s Armenian Church in Watertown and their reception at The Charles Hotel in Harvard Square.
Check out Li’s images from the wedding dayΒ here. Thanks again, Li, for having me!
OPEN POSTThis was my last wedding from 2010, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the season. Becca and Adrian had a beautiful ceremony at Park Street Church, followed by punch and pastries, then a more traditional cocktail hour before their afternoon reception at the Omni Parker House in Boston.
One of the things I love about weddings is the time that toasts are given. While there was the Best Man and Maid of Honor toasts as well as a speech from Becca’s father, Becca and Adrian also directed some heartfelt words to the individuals most dear to them. So many things can be learned about a couple from what their closest friend or family member says about them, but I think the fact that Adrian and Becca wanted to take the extra time to express their own admiration and gratitude reveals even more about the kind of people they are.
Here are my favorites from the day..
OPEN POSTAmy and Ted will be getting married back home in California but chose to do an engagement session in Cambridge as they’re both currently living in the area and wanted some fun fall shots. We did the session around Harvard Business School’s campus and along the Charles. It was actually the afternoon of Halloween and luckily the leaves were still bursting with color!
This was my last engagement session of 2010 and Amy and Ted made it so fun and easy. Who doesn’t love a couple that’s this happy together? :)
