I photographed a Hawthorne Hotel wedding in the spring which I loved and then got to return again in the fall for Kaela and Peter’s wedding. Working at a venue more than once is always fun because it really highlights how different every wedding and every couple is! Kaela and Peter’s wedding felt especially warm with the fall foliage as the backdrop and with seasonally themed centerpieces that really made it feel so festively fall. I loved the shawls that Kaela and her sisters/bridesmaids wore throughout the day – such a pretty accessory! Here are some of my favorites from their day.

OPEN POSTChris and Jackson had a sweet fall wedding that included tea ceremonies at their families’ houses and then a ceremony at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul before heading to Catalyst Restaurant in Cambridge for their dinner reception. We had time to spend at Fellsmere Park for some outdoor portraits and despite the (what felt like) freezing cold, we got some really beautiful shots. I love weddings that feel low-key and intimate, where being invited to be there feels like such an honor, and this was one of those days. Here are some of my favorites!

OPEN POSTKendra and Garrison’s wedding at Look Park was one of my favorites this past season. There were so many little details that made the day so personal, and made even more lovely by the simple, natural beauty of the Pines Theater as a backdrop. Kendra donned one of her favorite pair of cowboy boots as her bridal shoes that day, and also wore a pair of gloves that her mother wore on her own wedding day. She and Garrison chose to do a first look and read together the cards they wrote to one another for this momentous day. The beautiful chuppah was built by Garrison’s brother and Kendra’s father officiated the ceremony after walking his daughter down the aisle. The aisle decor, table centerpieces, and reception decor was put together by the Kendra and her mother with some help from dried flowers supplied from The Blaithin Blair Shop. So much love put into the whole wedding with so many hands and hearts! Here are my favorites from their day.

OPEN POSTJamie and Phil had a fun-filled, sun-filled wedding day last fall with a beautiful ceremony on the rooftop of the Le Meridien Hotel in Cambridge followed by a Chinese banquet at Hei La Moon. They incorporated some Chinese traditional wedding elements into their day like some fun door games and a tea ceremony prior to their outdoor ceremony at the hotel. We got to spend some time in the Boston Public Garden getting shots of them with their bridal party and I just loved the blush bridesmaid dresses and the pops of red in the florals that Blooms of Hope created for this special day. It was such an honor to document their day!

OPEN POSTMary and Khanh’s wedding day spanned several ceremonies – Vietname tea ceremonies at each of their family’s homes and a Catholic ceremony at St. Joseph’s in Medford – before ending in a boisterous reception at the Boston Marriott Cambridge in Kendall Square. We got to take portraits on the Cambridge Center rooftop garden, a hidden gem of greenery in the otherwise concrete jungle of Kendall Square. Such a fun day with the kindest people! Here are some of my favorites.
