Kendra and Garrison and I met up last September for their engagement session in Boston. It’s always fun to meet couples for the first time, especially when I’ve only chatted with them on the phone or on Skype prior to booking. Kendra and Garrison are so easy going and love to laugh together and it really felt like I was talking to old friends! For their session we started at the Boston Public Library and made our way towards the esplanade and then Beacon Hill. We really couldn’t have picked a better day for photos! It was beautiful, one of the last summer days before it officially turned fall, and it makes me excited for their wedding at Look Park in western Mass, which will take place exactly one year from the date of this shoot.

Christina and Mike were married at the Waterman Grille in Providence, a restaurant I’ve shot at once before and one that I love for its intimate atmosphere and delicious food. It’s really such a lovely spot for a small wedding. The day was a fun one, with a personalized ceremony that reflected Christina and Mike’s sweet and fun personalities, and an evening filled with lots of laughs and dancing. I loved the deep purples that made their way into the florals and other details of their wedding – so gorgeous for fall!

Alexis and Will traveled up from New York a few months ago and we were finally able to meet and spend some time capturing some shots of the two of them around Rockport. We started at Halibut Point State Park which overlooks a nice little quarry and the ocean and then moved along to downtown which has the harbor and cute shops. It wasn’t winter yet but the weather that day felt so much like today – so chilly you could feel it in your bones! I can’t believe it’s already the first day of spring…and in only a couple of months I’ll be seeing these two again for their wedding in Salem! Time flies! Here are some of my favorites from their session.

Priya and Dave were married in Canada but threw a local reception for their family and friends at the Endicott House in Dedham. To incorporate Priya’s family’s cultural traditions, she and Dave wore multiple Cambodian wedding outfits throughout the afternoon before they changed into western attire for dinner and dancing. It’s always special to photograph couples whose backgrounds are similar to my own, and I love that I was able to document their second celebration for them!
OPEN POSTSometimes you’re already married and don’t need a reason to take photos other than “just because.” Plus, Alexa and Brandon are moving back west later this year so wouldn’t it be nice to have some photos in Cambridge to remember their time here? We met up on a chilly fall day that felt almost like winter, and got some lovely shots of them around the Harvard Business School campus. Here are some of my favorites from their session…
