Kate and Garrett were married on the first day of August. Kate and her bridesmaids prepped at her grandmother’s house, after which the ceremony took place at the Immaculate Conception Church in Nashua, New Hampshire. Everyone then headed to The Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, Mass for the reception. This might’ve been my favorite venue to shoot at this year. Really, a celebration at a gorgeous, renovated barn with green, rolling hills in the back? Heaven.

This was probably one of the more colorful weddings I’ve been to as well, in terms of being detail-rich. Some fun elements of the day: Kate’s red heart wedding shoes, the bridal party outfits (bridesmaids in all different colors, with coordinated groomsmen’s ties), the wildflower bouquets, escort cards made to match the linens, handmade paper cranes hanging from the barn entrance, a photobooth, cake toppers that paid homage to their alma mater, etc.

If I could have, I would have included every image from the wedding in this blog post–no joke–but hopefully these will suffice!

These are phenomenal, really. I love Groton and that location in particular. Did you know that at the top of that hill behind Gibbet Hill there is a castle? I’m supposed to, at some point, do an engagement shoot there.

very nice jen!! I like the unique venue, some of the pics look surreal :)

Thank you, Jen for capturing so many special moments throughout the day. Your pictures are just gorgeous. Kate’s mom

Jen did a terrific job–I cannot believe how many photos she took and yet you never really noticed her; she was never in the way.
She somehow captured bliss in every shot!
